Meet Our Team

    Colette Mellott is the founder and President of CMBA.  She has earned a Masters Degree in Personal Financial Planning & Counseling from the University of Alabama and has earned a Bachelors Degree in Business - Finance from Pennsylvania State University.  Ms. Mellott has earned multiple professional certifications and licensures. In addition to earning designation as a Certified Management Accountant, she is licensed by the IRS to practice as an Enrolled Agent.  Ms. Mellott has over 25 years experience serving clients in public accounting as well as working for large corporations in private industry.

  As a member of several professional organizations, she remains informed on the most current topics and standards in the industry.   Many of these organizations hold their members to a higher standard for both ethical standards of practice as well as more stringent continuing education requirements than minimum industry standards.  Ms. Mellott is an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA).

  Ms. Mellott is also committed to serving local community organizations in a volunteer capacity.  With a heart for education, training and advancement, Ms. Mellott is passionate about passing on her knowledge and experience to others.  She is committed to come along side others to help them realize success in their businesses and careers
